The Canberra Division of the Australian Railway Historical Society runs Heritage trains with restored passenger cars from the early 1900s, and when possible these are hauled by one of their century-old veteran steam locomotives. These local trains usually operate from Canberra to Bungendore. Overnight or weekend tour trains include air-conditioned sleeping and dining cars, and are hauled by veteran diesel locomotives.
